Who KNEW ... the Rolling Stones are in town

Hey you,

It's Christa and I am feeling pretty surprised and jazzed.., Just 4 blocks from me the Rolling Stones (ya you know that Mick Jagger guy) are playing on our local stage, in our surf side town, in Southern California... TONIGHT

It's a BIG give back event that will raise a ton of money and I love that sort of thing!

So feeling motivated and inspired I have created another video for you. This one featuring our GLASS SUBWAY TILES.

I've been recommending these material combinations to everyone I know because they are **that fabulous** and **that affordable**.

AND remember We are here to MAKE a difference that is why giving back is woven into our business model....

Some of the materials we highlighted are time tested favorites of all of the creatives we've met over the 11 years we have been working with all of you. Blue Grey and Green glass have really taken the Subway Tile world by storm

One of the principal reasons I am a big fan of glass subways is because there are countless combinations of sizes, materials, textures and colors that meet the needs of any homeowner, architect or designer.

For installing glass subway tile, we recommend using a white thin-set mortar with a flexible acrylic additive. Apply this mixture with the manufacturer’s recommendations of notch trowel. Spread only enough adhesive as will be covered with the tile within 15 minutes. Back-butter each piece of tile with the flat edge of the trowel. Be sure to achieve full coverage on the back of the tile in order to avoid the notch marks in the thin set from showing through the glass. Carefully, press the glass into the thin set mixture leaving even spacing between tiles. For a more contemporary look we recommend using 1/16" spacers to ensure even spacing. If you prefer a more traditional look the a 1/8" spacer is recommended. Allow for movement joints where the tile abuts restraining surfaces and around the perimeter of the installation. Grout with an unsanded grout, to prevent scratching, after the adhesive has had proper time to cure according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Now I would love to hear from you. It’s a two part challenge today:

  1. What’s something that triggers your creativity?
  2. Are you a fan of the Rolling Stones?

I’d love to hear about it in the comments below. And do share as much detail as you can.
